THE QUANTUM NOW
Science of Mind students know that they’re always in the now; that there is only the now. There is no past or future except in our illusion of time.
The now moment contains infinite possible now moments. And through our consciousness we select which now moment to experience from those infinite possibilities. We select from all possibilities in a number of ways. We select when we expect and we select when we believe. We select when we consciously choose and we select by letting the law of averages play out.
When we expect something, we’re selecting that plane of existence which contains that something. When we believe something without a doubt or question, we’re selecting that plane which contains that believed thing. And when we choose consciously, directly and forthrightly, we’re selecting that plane which contains our choice. But, if we just sit back and let things happen, the plane we end up in is based on the law of averages.
Quantum mechanics (or quantum physics) is based on the theory that there are multiple outcomes in every situation but those outcomes cannot come into existence until someone observes them. If there is no observer, the state of the outcome remains only a possibility. Although we’re all observers in this scenario, we’re observers with one special power: the power to select the outcome. We select the current now, the next now and then the next and the next.
We can choose a plane of health just as easily as we can choose a plane of illness, and we can choose a plane of wealth just as easily as we can choose a plane of poverty. The question we must ask ourselves however is, “Are my beliefs such that I can really choose and accept the plane(s) I really want?
Use the power of now to get through difficult times. When we’re going through a challenging situation we can step back from it for a moment and become the observer. It’s in this now moment that we know we’re okay. It may be for just a split second but there is that knowing that we’re okay. Perhaps an illness has manifested but, in the now moment, we know we’re breathing, our heart is beating and we’re conscious.
Perhaps the experience is a financial crisis but, for one moment, we’ll know we have a roof over our head and food to eat. And in that now moment we know we’re okay. Our job is to then string together a bunch of these now moments in which we’re okay. As we’ve learned from quantum physics, when we, as the observer, observe an okay moment, then the okay moment has been chosen as the outcome.
As we continue to observe our okay moments, they’ll continue to be our experience. Stringing together a bunch of “I’m okay” now moments, takes us out of our challenge.
CAUSE AND EFFECT
Like all laws, whether they be spiritual or physical (such as the laws of mathematics, gravity or electricity), the Law of Life (aka the Law of Cause and Effect or the Law of Attraction) is at work in all places and at all times.
The trap into which many of us have fallen is in not understanding the process involved in the Law of Life. We look at an effect and, deciding that we want something different, we try to change the effect rather than looking for the cause and changing that. For example, poor health and financial restriction are effects and many people try to treat the symptoms, which are effects, instead of looking at what caused the effect. Masking symptoms may work in the short term but unless the cause is addressed, the effects will continue to manifest.
This brings us back to the state of our consciousness. Whatever we have in consciousness (in other words, whatever we believe and whatever we’re aware of) is true for us. This is what is known as a ‘conditioned consciousness.’ Remember, "To him who hath (in consciousness), will more be given… but from him who has not (in consciousness) even what he has will be taken away.”
Whatever the effect is that we want to change, we must first examine the cause by asking ourselves questions such as, "What have I been thinking about in regard to this matter?” What we should not be doing is examining the effect by asking questions or making statements such as, "Did I spend too much?" "Was I too wasteful?" "Other people let me down". These are only effects from the causes we've sown within our consciousness. We, and we alone, are responsible for the causes that produce the results that we don't like.
We always need to be careful about what we're thinking and feeling. It truly is a matter of THINKING MAKES IT SO.

The Only Reality - Dr. Ernest Holmes
Love is the language which is universal, interpreted through every living soul and understood by all. Love will find the solution to every problem, will answer every question, and will ultimately vanquish every foe. Love begets tolerance; tolerance begets understanding, an understanding which is able to put itself in the other person’s place.
Love is unity, understanding, harmony. It is as necessary to the well-being of the soul as food is for the strength of the body. A life which is starved for love, which knows no affection, is unnatural and abnormal. Love would sit within every person, flowing through and permeating one’s entire being. We truly live in its atmosphere when we meet people through whom love radiates. A unity is formed, harmony is created, and we desire to be in their presence.
Love is a synonym for God; and God is love, the universal outpouring of the Spirit through law, wisdom, life, and action. God knows us in love; we know God only through love. When we love humanity we are loving God, in and through others.
It is impossible to enter a state of peace without love. Love is the only reality there is.
